Here’s something to spice up your Sunday morning!

There is new evidence that suggests that the Andromeda Galaxy has already collided with the Milky Way Galaxy around 10 billion years ago.

Regardless of the validity of this hypothesis, Andromeda is still approaching us at a speed of around 120 km per second – which means it will collide (perhaps for the second time) with the Milky Way in about 4 billion years.

Exciting!
