The_Earth_seen_from_Apollo_17

Apollo 17 was the final mission in the Apollo program. It was the last time humans ever step foot on the Moon. Since then, we have sent a few orbiters and rovers instead.

The Apollo 17 astronauts returned about 110 kg of lunar material (mainly rocks), which is the largest sample ever collected by any Apollo mission.

In total, the Apollo missions returned 380.2 kg of rocks from the Moon.
