Tonight’s eclipse is supposed to be visible from Malaysia, but if you’re planning on going out for a look, it won’t be easy.

The Moon rises at the horizon around 7PM (GMT+8), and the eclipse will be over before 10PM. It will not be high enough in the sky (from 0° to 30°+) to be seen from within the city, so you’ll have to go somewhere far and flat, or somewhere high.

In addition to that, the weather has been extremely bad lately. It’s highly unlikely that the eclipse will be easy to see here.

If you’d like to see an animation of the eclipse as viewed from KL, head on over to this page:

You can also have a look at future eclipse dates and locations. There are many more to come 🙂
